SANDAG On-Call Environmental Services - LOSSAN Projects
Since 2007, BRG has provided on-call environmental support services for LOSSAN Projects. The services are provided for a range of rail improvements on the San Diego Subdivision, San Diego Regional Bike Program, SANDAG’s Bus Rapid Transit program, and the San Diego Trolley. BRG provides principal guidance to other consultants working for certain SANDAG rail improvements on the San Diego Subdivision, and provides staff review of environmental and permit-related documents prepared for these projects. BRG attends monthly LOSSAN Corridor transportation program management coordination meetings as requested by SANDAG. BRG maintains a summary matrix of environmental clearance and permitting issues for all projects. Services also include construction specification preparation and bid support, environmental compliance and other as needed support during the construction of projects required per any applicable CEQA/NEPA mitigation and/or regulatory permitting conditions of approval. BRG provides these Program Management Services to SANDAG Directors and Project Managers to ensure design, environmental clearance, and resource agency permitting deliverables are in compliance with all Federal environmental regulations (and local and state regulations when applicable) as well as meeting required project funding milestones.
BRG is also responsible for NEPA clearance and regulatory permitting on the Sorrento to Miramar Phase 2 Double Track Project (FRA EA), and Carlsbad Village Double Track Project (FRA EA); and regulatory permitting on the Sorrento to Miramar Phase 1 Double Track Project, Sorrento Valley Double Track Project, San Elijo Lagoon Double Track Project, and Poinsettia Station Improvements Project. These projects demonstrate BRG’s extensive experience with infrastructure projects, knowledge of NEPA requirements, project permitting, a strong working relationship with local regulatory agencies, and proven ability to provide as needed services.
